Thank you for visiting our website. We are experiencing lower than normal temperatures and snow most every day or night. Much of our snow right now is lake effect, but it’s the beautiful white stuff that we all want! Nighttime temperatures for this coming week are predictedat -3 to -9 nightly. It all works out to be a great combination.
Our groomers are reporting a 20″ base. We just got about 9″ of snow a few days ago plus what we have continued to receive daily. The U. P. Thunder Rider groomers have been out there daily or nightly. All of our trails are reported in good shape including the following:
Trail 2 heading west of Watersmeet
Trail 2 heading east to Trail 107
Trail 3 heading north to Trail 2 to Bond Falls and Trail 8
Trail 3 heading south to Land O’ Lakes
Trail 13 heading south of Trail 2 to the Cisco Chain
Openings are pretty scarce for this Presidents’ Weekend for Friday and Saturday. If you are still searching, please call Caryl at the Chamber phone, 906-358-9961 for updates on availability or for a live update on trails. From Sunday on through the rest of the sledding season, still has plenty of openings. It’s a great time to plan now for an upcoming trip to enjoy the beautiful U. P. and all the super trails. We hope to see you soon. Thanks much for visiting our website.
